I wrote my United States representative, Nathaniel Morgan, 1st congressional district Texas, about the urgency to pass support Ukraine in its defense of its sovereign territory and the need to give them enough support to drive the Russian invaders out. I urge EVERY AMERICAN who reads this post to look up what congressional district they are in by State, find out who represents them in congress, and send them an email via the representatives websight, they all have one to communicate with their constituents. Send a collective message that you support ukraines defense and that you expect our nation to honor our agreements to its allies and that you will vote accordingly and that you will encourage others to do so as well.
He just lost another vote in New York. His leverage is declining.
Republicans are white Christian fascists who hate democracy and therefore see Putin as an ideological ally. It’s that simple.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the Senate already considered this when they voted on it.
Their majority just shrunk a little more thanks to NY 3rd District special election. Democrats need to find 3 Republicans with a spine (I know, tall order) to force a vote. There were a couple of special elections yesterday, and Republicans in close districts must be terrified by the swing. D’Esposito in NY 4th might be amicable towards a Ukraine bill. That’s my district – I emailed his office and the response was very pro-Ukraine and pro-military aid. This became more doable after yesterday.
