Serhiy Sternenko: Blocking our border by pro-Russian Polish protesters left several Ukrainian units without drones, there was a significant delay. This is direct assistance to the Russian army (continuation in comments)

  1. Continuation:

The blockade of the border disrupted another crucial military operation by the AFU. This is help to the Russian army.

To block the border of the state that is defending from the aggressor is to help the aggressor.

    Period.

  2. Alright at this point Poland needs to put down the goddamn hammer and throw these bastards into a cell. Enough is enough.

  3. There should be an agreement that they ofc can protest but leave the huanitarian corridor alone. Literally people are dying because of them blocking corridor to Ukraine.

Polish “farmers” – have blood on their hands. This will be remembered.

  4. I live in Ukraine and I officially stop buying all the Polish goods and my wife also insisted on it. We appreciate all the help from Poland, but the way they act recently it’s a betrayal.

I do agree with u/nbneo comment under [my earlier post in this sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/1aoagj1/comment/kqcr9r1/?context=3): “**Poland will do everything to help Ukraine against its common enemy… as long as it costs them nothing.**
    **Incredible shortsigthedness.**”

  5. Polish farmers- who will want to buy your products in the future if you are causing suffering and deaths by blocking humanitarian help to Ukraine?

  6. Outragous…. I hope your government does smth… i mean they said Ukraine need more help this would be a good start

  7. I guess Polish farmers together with russia will be paying reparations to Ukraine for all this shit.

  8. Those assholes are really gonna love it when Putin invades their country too and murders them and their families. Fucking morons.

  9. Polish Farmers will be the first ones begging WaPo for a Op-Ed piece when Ukraine falls and Putins missiles are on their doorsteps. Its time western world leaders wake the fuck up and declare a 3rd world war is upon us. We’re all aware of it, we’re just waiting for one massive incident cross borders to really light the fuse

  10. Maybe naive question but why don’t they go through Romania instead? How is the border situation there?

  11. The grain embargo is still in effect and the polish-ukrainian dialogue on an official level about the situation is, and has been ongoing.

Konfas conspiracy theory about “pseudo-transit” is baseles.

And, 12 tons of grain between 22-23 from russia, those aint hurting their market but ukrainian grain is? (source: a Radio Svoboda investigation.)

    Come on now.

  12. It saddens me that people from my country are so petty and cannot sacrifice their own good for the right cause, because helping Ukraine is the right cause. Humanity’s ability to unite for a common cause has been severely hampered. There are always strings attached to all kinds of aid, there are no unconditionalities. I am tired of seeing all the propaganda and bullshit stories from the bad actors around the world trying to push their own agenda just to make themselves reacher or to fulfil some childish fantasy about creating an “empire” at any cost under their own ideological umbrella.

I hate politics and politicians, why do they have to be like this? Why can’t they work for a single goal, to make the world a better and safer place? I understand that there are a lot of parties with their own agenda, but there is also the question of morality. What about the famous “never again”?

I am for Ukraine, Slava Ukraina. Some Poles would beat me in the street if they heard me say that, because how can I support another nation more than my own, but to be honest I feel more European than Polish and I wish other people would feel the same, maybe less Ukrainians would be dead.

  13. my family and me done with polish agriculture products, fuck them

  14. Hang on, the protests are about a grain. Both sides have their arguments. But calling polish protesters prorussians is a massive overkill. Polish people hate russia.

  15. Imperialism and genocide is a small price to pay to protect your wheat prices, I guess.

  16. Today I again received this mail from my Ukrainian mail forwarder (which helps bringing packages (and there are many care packages, and there’s no Ukrainian grain in the packages incoming from the US!!!) for people from the US to Ukraine:

Easyxpress

    Congratulations!

We want to share important information with you!
In connection with the repeated strike of Polish transporters at the border, traffic for trucks has been hampered.
Accordingly, the border crossing time has increased by several days. And as a result, the delivery times of international parcels may also be increased.
We are very sorry that such a situation has arisen. We understand how important it is for you to receive your packages on time.
It is currently unknown how long the strike will last, but we promise to keep you informed of any changes and updates.
We will be infinitely grateful for your understanding and patience!
    Best regards,
    the Easyxpress team

  17. There are no bigger fucking snow-flakes than farmers I fucking swear. German/Dutch farmers block the road etc etc. Polish ones ruin Ukrainian grain. It’s like they are genetically predisposed to be a bunch of pussies.

  18. Why don’t the polish government just put a stop to it?

  19. I wonder if Russia having cornered the market for fertilizer has anything to do with farmers’ otherwise inexplicable affinity for Russia? Even most Swedish farmers I know have been on trips to Russia “for fertilizer”.

  20. I don’t support any blaming towards Poland, even considering those assholes at the border.
But I also can’t stand poles here at a high horse, c’mon, don’t mention the support of Ukrainians! A big portion of polish GDP is based on cheap Ukrainian force, absolute majority of Ukrainians in Poland work and pay taxes, in addition, Poland saves tons of money on costs because of that, since doesn’t accept other refugees from middle east and Africa, although receives EU money, since Poland calls all Ukrainians which work there “war refugees”. The only reason Poland supports Ukraine is because it knows, that if Ukrainians won’t fight russians back, Poland will need to fight Ukrainians with russian support soon, since they will be drafted by a pro-russian new government. Nobody does something because of some kind of kindness, that is ok, just don’t forget that everybody understands that.

  21. Well this is a stab in the back, the poles are planning a “full border blockade on feb 20th” what the fuck does that have to do with grain?

  22. With all due respect, the Polish protestors are not “pro-Russian”. Finding someone “pro-Russian” in Poland is like finding a needle in a haystack.

  23. Imagine if during the Polish-Soviet war in 1919/20 German farmers blockaded the Polish border, how would the Poles feel about that? “Oh it’s just business” ah okay I guess we’ll just die now

  24. Do you guys know that these “pro-russian” farmers need to feed their family and live like humans. Their only income is grain and other agricultural things that Ukrainian farmers sell in Poland for ridiculous prices and their quality is questioning. We need to obey the eu standards, but Ukraine don’t need to. And to those who say that ukrainians will sell their grains in other countries that don’t border Ukraine. Guess you don’t know they want to sell it the cheapest as possible. Like its not like they can’t, they just don’t want to. They flooded polish market with this shit that is called grain. The factory grain is being sold in poland as “normal” “consumable” grain. It is dangerous for our health. Please take it into account, that they’re also humans on the other side who also have families to feed. We can’t bleed out and kill our economy for helping you guys.

  25. Not to mention – said farmers are ok with grain imports from Belarus and directly from Russia and don’t block those borders. I wonder why.
