  1. These shortages always make me laugh until about two weeks later when Russia makes its shortages my shortages

  2. Breaks my heart, people have to survive without bananas. What next, take dragonfruit away? Thoughts and prayers lmao

  3. Reminds me of the good old days of East Germany when bananas were only available to a few high level party officials.

After the wall fell East Germans swarmed over the border and could be seen in the markets in the border towns reverently munching bananas.

  4. Ah, i remember there was a USSR joke about growing corn and bananas in polar circle. That joke returned so unexpectedly

  5. Well, climate change might be important then for russia to get those fruits grewing on sibirian soil….

  6. Didn’t they have a deal on bananas from India recently? Like a few days ago.

  7. Man, that’s usual relationship of Russian state and Russian people. Some other state pissed Russian state off, so Russian state punishes its own Russian people – no bananas anymore. It was done before with European Union cheese, it will be done again. State can do whatever it wants in Russia. The problem, the key problem of Russia for ages is that in Russia the people exist for the state, not the state for the people like it has to be and more or less is in majority of Western countries.

  8. I love how Carlson says Russia is such a great place yet things like heating and fruit are now considered luxuries there

  9. It was stated recently that Russia will buy bananas from India because Ecuador gave their old Soviet junk to the US, that’s all. Who creates these headlines?

  10. Any Hungarians here thinking of the movie The Witness when reading this?

  11. Is there anywhere in Russia warm enough to grow bananas? Lol

  12. Later in history books “Officially, Russia went bananas in the beginning of 2024, but oldtimers confirm that it happaned years before”
