This is the way our tax system is setup, it allows for all expenses in business to be passed onto the customer by “writing it off”. They IRS then moved to attempt to ban 1099 “Contract Employees” from being hired by everyone , because they also get to write off all expenses lowering the amounts of money the IRS can bring in. 2 things to be done to remedy the situation, DO NOT ALLOW WRITEOFFS at all for self-employed peoples, or allow everyone to have write offs. For instance, as a W2 wagee, I cannot write off my car expenses, but if I am self-employed, I can, and that would allow an additional $15k a year to be written off my taxes.
Since there is NO WAY WHAT-SO-EVER to stop self-employed people raising their prices to pass on the taxes to the customer, then we must allow all employees the same benefits as self-employed do.
