5 and a half years for deliberately driving at a guard, causing life changing spinal injuries, whilst in posession of 10k worth of coke.
Guess the judge.
I really hope this sentence gets reviewed, makes a mockery of the guards and just everyone who isn’t a violent drug dealer.
I’d have stuck another 20 years on top of the 5.
Lol you get more for not paying the tv licence
Charanand?
116 convictions. He shouldn’t have been on the road that day to begin with.
So a really low sentence, and a concurrent sentence to go with it.
What do we reckon…he’ll be out in 2? Before the courts again about 6 months after that?
Once again the “justice” system in Ireland shows what a joke it is. There really isn’t much point in abiding by the law in this country, especially if you can come up with a good sob story.
> Flannery has 116 previous convictions, including 75 for road traffic offences and 12 for drugs matters. He had been disqualified from driving at the time.
Been a few years in Ireland. I dont think I passed by 75 policemen/speed vans what have you.
5 and a half years? How the fuck is Nolan still allowed to get away with this shit?
116 previous convictions. He should have been removed from society a long time ago.
“He has three children from a previous relationship whom he is not allowed to see, and is now in a stable relationship, the court heard”
How the fuck can you find a new girlfriend when you’re not even allowed to see the kids from your last one?? What sort of woman wants to go out with a clown like that
They conduct checkpoints on the M50? Imagine the traffic at rush hour.
Great system. In a few years we be reading about how he killed someone and we be all saying *“he had 200 previous convictions including one for deliberately knocking down a guard, what was he doing out”*
Wtf does it take for a judge to say “I can’t leave this fella back into society, it’s too dangerous”.
