  1. >Crystal Sanchez, the president of the Sacramento Homeless Union, criticized the city’s lack of preparation and for going through with the removal despite weather conditions.

I had no idea they had a union. I wonder how they go on strike.

  2. “Jesus, Jackie, I can’t control the weather!”

  3. I heard this all got messy when Leo himself was mistaken for a homeless person

  4. I don’t see how homeless people are inconvenienced by this.

  5. what would happen to the homeless community if rainstorms are real?

  6. Blame the studio and the people who got the location. Also the actors and crew.

  7. I am genuinely confused. Are they mad the Leo’s movie crew moved them so they could film, but the city did nothing even though there was supposed to be a big rain storm?

  8. People were given a day when asked to leave a public space?

What are we enraged about today?

  9. Entertainment is the only reason we all live. So this is totally acceptable and not being a POS

  10. “Despite the looming storm, the homeless community living at Cesar Chavez Park were said to be forcefully removed from their tents to make way for the DiCaprio film, which has been temporarily titled BC Project with director Paul Thomas **Anthony**.”

  11. SF did the same a few years back when an event was happening. It’s not uncommon for this to happen. Didn’t the Oscar did the same near Hollywood with their homeless population too?

  12. Are the homeless camps even allowed to be there? The city needs to focus on keeping the parks clean, clear, safe, and usable for the public. 365 days of the year.

  13. If you want to help them then take them inside your own house

  14. “While those affected by the removal were offered temporary housing at a Sacramento shelter, locals were outraged by the sudden removal, particularly due to severe weather impacting the area.”

  15. I don’t know why senators just make apartments to get the homeless off the streets already. You’d think it would be an easy fix by now.

  16. If their community was on the street and sidewalks, hey shouldn’t be there anyway.

  17. “Homeless Community” sounds like a place with HOA.

  18. “Outrage”

Forgive me if I don’t believe them anymore.

  19. To be fair, Leo gave the same 24hr warning to his girlfriends a day before their 24th birthday too

  20. When I’m done camping, I’m packed up in less than an hour…slackers

  21. Sparks outrage?

Shouldn’t the more accurate title be “radar tries to outrage bait readers using Leonardo
    Dicaprion’s name”?

  22. Sorry homeless people, we have to shoot this movie before Leonardo goes bald.

  23. Ironic if this actually turns out to be an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s *Vineland,* as has been rumored.

I believe the novel starts with what would presumably be Leonardo DiCaprio’s character getting forced out of his home.

  24. Where did they expect them to film? Not California? Because the homeless are everywhere in California.

  25. Why does this post have so many upvotes? It’s such a non story.
