The EU is proposing to sanction companies in mainland China for the first time as part of its latest measures aimed at shutting down loopholes that allow Russia to route military technology via third countries to its weapons factories.
Three companies in mainland China, as well as four in Hong Kong and one in India, are on a 91-page document of companies and individuals who EU member states want to add to a growing sanctions list before the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Oh boy here we go… let’s see how Europe will happily continue to do business with these same firms via third parties lol
Modern globalization was created by Age of Enlightenment and French Revolution in form of spread of this Enlightenment by results/fruits of Enlightenment.
When globalization work on suppression of what created it, Rationalism, Humanism (Rational Humanism), Secularism, Rule of Law, Democracy, Freedoms, first of all – Freedom of Speech (information transaction costs), it’s not globalization, it’s real anti-globalism.
Return to pre-globalization and pre-Enlightenment neo-imperialism, populism-fascism-monarchism, clericalism, feudalism/slavery.
By saving primary sources of globalization Europe save real globalization, even if in the short term it may not seem like it.
And overall, peak of globalization – when Europe has capital and technologies, but have deficit of labor resources. With modern technologies, there are just one step to possibility to have almost unlimited labor resources.
That would be _more_, not less, expensive than manufacturing 1mil artillery shells.
