  1. Because Putin won’t live long enough to see it end.

  2. So Putin admits Russia started it and not Ukraine or the West.

  3. As long as I live, I’ll never understand this attitude. I get it – the end of the Cold War was bad for Russia. The dissolution of the USSR would have been heartbreaking for me if I was a citizen and a true believer. But it’s very clear that Ukraine is a country and a people and re-merging is categorically non-consensual. Cruel conquerors, this whole thing…and nothing more.

  4. “Commenting on the outcome of the conversation and the viewers’ reaction to it, the Russian President called Carlson a “dangerous person” who had specifically chosen this tactic to avoid hearing “sharp answers” during the conversation.”

Has anyone told tucky boy that Russia doesn’t love him now? Lmao.

  5. Well of course. Trump would have supported Putin and not send a single iota of aide to Ukraine.

  6. Makes sense. Dudes too old to see the end of his empire being restored so he should’ve started sooner /s

  7. his face gets more punch-able every day…smug evil cunt.

where’s Lavrov? is he still around? haven’t seen his saggy face lately.

  8. War in Ukraine is a true Schrödinger’s war – it is a war; it isn’t a war; it was started by Russia; it wasn’t started by Russia.

  9. Probably because the way the right in the Us has been acting and they way the weak ass right wing Congress supports Trump unconditionally, he thinks Trump would’ve rubber stamped.

  10. He’s absolutely correct. People constantly talk about how this is the result of inaction in 2014 when they took Crimea and how we should have stopped them then etc etc.

In 2014, Russia would have completely taken Ukraine and it would have been a massive blow to the US-led world order. The intervening 8 years has made the ukraine army stronger and better trained, and made the russian military weaker because of all the corruption. Putin himself is slower and weaker.

This ex-analyst guy I was speaking to last year was saying that if we found a way to delay this war for another 5-6 years, ukraine would well have been able to beat Russia. The people who talk about appeasement etc are wrong. Trying to delay the inevitable as long as possible while you gear up as best as you can is absolutely a valid tactic. Its better to lose some battles to win the war than the other way around.

  11. I mean… we said we’d never let it happen again. Yet here we are.

  12. Wait… I thought He said the west started the war?

  13. They regret not starting it when trump was president…

  14. Yeah. Shoulda started when your puppet was the US president. Then there would have been no aid to Ukraine at all.

  15. Always double down on your wrong decisions: Dictator orthodox prayer nr 1.

  16. They would have had a bigger chance of success when they did the full scale invasion in 2014. I guess the “We’re very lucky they’re so f- stupid” applies here.

Even the Ukrainians that I know, didn’t think they would invade in 2022 because “If they wanted to do that, they would have done that in 2014.”

  17. Well if this war is made in 2014 Ukraine would lose really bad. No matter how much aid is sent Ukraine will fall because their army is so bad back then.

Ukraine’s army got better because they didn’t want a repeat 2014. Revanchism because of their defeat in 2014 spurred Ukraine military to be less corrupt and to steer to the West.

  18. So Biden is the better option for Russia – more predictable as said by Putinsky.

Is this a sign that we have 2 parties interested in continuing a war economy?

  19. I’ve always thought that Putin was banking on Trump winning a second term, knowing that Trump would be an ally to Russia and withhold aid to Ukraine.

  20. He should have finished the job in 2014.

Allowing Ukraine to build up their army for a decade was clearly a mistake

  21. *”We’re waging an all-out economic and financial war on Russia. We will cause the collapse of the Russian economy. This is not hyperbole.!*

-Bruno le Maire, French Finance Minister, March 1, 2022

{*two years later*} Russian economic growth quintupled French economic growth in 2023, forecast to be at least quadruple in 2024. France ran a 4.8% budget deficit in 2023, while Russia had a federal budget deficit of 1.9% but a consolidated (federal + regions) budget surplus of 0.3%.

UK just entered recession and the Euro Area just barely avoided recession last quarter.

Russia expected to grow by 1,1% in 2024.

Well done! Sanctions are working very well!

  22. Imagine Putin had started this war while Trump was the US president…

  23. The only way I see this whole situation solved is Putin being dead. There’s no other way around

  24. I’m sure he does. Putin probably wished he started it when Trump was POTUS.

  25. He regrets not starting the war during Trumps administration.

  26. Why can’t he just be dealt with? Why are we allowing a few men to cause so much harm and chaos?

  27. I bet that is true: it seems like a major screw up that he didn’t start this with Trump in the white house: they would have gotten a free pass from us, and would already be planning the next invasion by now. Putin (seriously) is probably SERIOUSLY regretting that delay

  28. I love how nato, Europe and the USA sit still thinking appeasement will work this time

  29. Of course he wishes he’d started earlier, waiting for trump to pull off the coup was a terrible fucking idea. How much property on the black sea do you think putin promised in return?

  30. I mean objectively that’s true, they would’ve stomped through Ukraine if they invaded in early 2014 (immediately after Crimea annexation) when its military was in disarray, when Yanukovych was just deposed, and there was widespread pro-Russian unrest in the south and east of the country.

Why Putin, seemingly randomly, decided to invade in 2022, after Ukraine spent a bulk of the 8 years until then preparing for an imminent invasion, is still beyond me to this day.

  31. “We should have done it while we had the orange monkey in power.”

  32. Buying Champagne to celebrate when this evil bastard dies, he’s caused nothing but turmoil and suffering, he is a pain in the Ass to everyone in the world.
