Before the inevitable “it’s not real it’s the frontaliers” comments… nearly all of these are either frontaliers (or slave labour for #1) or have a disproportionate income from a single industry that is sold around the world (eg. Oil, gambling or ‘tax efficiency’).
GDP/Capita is GDP divided by resident population. That is not the case for Luxembourg, where +200,000 people work in Luxembourg but do not live within it’s borders, and thus are not counted towards population for the purpose of calculating GDP/Capita.
Not only that but the GDP figure is with a high likelihood inaccurate due to the ‘*tax haven’ distortion*. i.e. **money is accounted for in Luxembourg that has never so much as touched a Luxembourg bank account.**

Have a look at the median wage (net) in Luxembourg (incl. Frontaliers)

3,699€/month vs 5,569€ in Switzerland or 4,149€ in Denmark
Can we ban people who do not understand per capita?
