A little different from my regular posts. This is the state of corporate greed in Pohjois Karjala. My actual electricity bill from Helen never crossed 90€ in a month, but my ”delivery fee” from Pohjois Karjalan Sähkö is meant to pay for the CEO’s Lambourgini monthly payments😂

Thank the center party
A brief explanation.
I switched my electricity supply to Helen six years ago, and have been a happy camper because the price never goes above 90€ a month.
But the delivery fee. Oh.. the delivery fee. Pohjois Karjalan Sähkö has no competition, and happily charge whatever they wish.
I understand that a delivery fee is essential. However when comparing delivery fees with static power lines, as well as underground cables, these prices are ridiculously ridiculous. ”Basic fee”, ”delivery fee” ”electricity tax”. My rant is that all these fees are padded up simply to take whatever they want because people living here do not have an option to say NO. Solar panel? Sure, in the summer months.
Ground heating? Sure! If i had 10K lying around.
How are your bills where you are at?
With big consumption comes big financial responsibility 🙂
But yes, fees are high in your case. Especially the basic monthly one.
In my case (Helsinki) delivery is about twice the electricity price (mostly because of basic monthly fee).
Also, why do you have two separate sums for delivery of electricity (except monthly static payment)
That Lamborghini is critical and essential for the long term infrastructure maintenance.
Gasp. It’s almost like they were maintaining a power transport infrastructure in a remote, sparsely populated wilderness with regular storm and snow damages. Those parasites!
Why don’t they just get their money from somewhere else? Like from a wall? Or KELA?
And don’t get me started on the CEO.
Driving a Lamboughini, you say? With a salary of 20k a month? He must be mining crypto using OP’s juice, or smth…
😇 Don’t take this too seriously. They’re all thieves, I know…
Well Kokoomus thinks this is the way.
At the same time they pretend to “understand” normal people matters and know what is the best for them 😂😂
Samasta lafkasta kokemus, tyhjillään olevalla rakennuksella meillä kulutusta kolmen euron edestä, siirtomaksu 100 euroa. Nauroin.
I wouldn’t be surprised that single wheel bolt for Lambo would cost more than your monthly bill 🙂
As long as ive been paying my own electricity bills the transfer has always been more expensive than the electricity itself. Not sure if the difference has ever been this big though.
That’s privatisation for you. I live in Espoo and my delivery fee is regularly in the ballpark of twice as my electricity bill. I can’t change companies because the “delivery” company (Caruna) has an honest-to-god monopoly in my region as if they are a cable company in small-town US.
75€ for “electricity tax” +24% VAT.
That is only tax I know that is double taxed…
You btw probably could lower your consumption by half if you are not living in mansion.
