We remind you that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, refused to vote on the aid package for #Ukraine approved this week in the Senate.

To apply a discharge petition, you need to collect the signatures of a simple majority of members of the House of Representatives, i.e. 2018.

⚠️Democrats already have a petition with 213 signatures, which they prepared last year during discussions on raising the US national debt ceiling.

  2. Do it, the time for talking about it has passed and people are dying because of slow walking of politics!!!

  3. The MAGA Republican faction needs to be removed from office. They just announced a two week vacation starting at the end of the week. They are not about doing their job, or what the people want, but to only delay as long as it benefits Trump and Putin.

  4. There are 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives, so the simple majority would be 218 Representatives, not “2018.” Just to clarify.

  5. Do Johnson was given a chance at survival, let the GOP rip it’s self apart

  6. Get this backup plan started now. They can work on replacing the speaker while they wait the mandatory time required for this backup plan.

  7. From a non-American following the political scene in US I would say.. go ahead.. the current situation is such a shit show.. those elected clearly misunderstands their purpose and disregards the trust put into them by the voters..

    #shitshow

  8. They should wait to hold the vote till Suozzi gets into Congress on Feb 28th, Dems will have a thinner margin to break and will need less Republican votes to pass it. Hopefully it passes, but I don’t trust Republicans house members, even the more pro-Ukraine ones like Mike Turner, to actually get it passed. Plus I’m worried some progressive Dems will vote against it because aid to Israel is included. Bernie already voted against it, AOC and squad won’t be too far behind

  9. The moron has decided to take 2-week vacation. So he’s determined to delay the Ukraine aid as long as he can. Discharge petition should be ready regardless of the vacation. The best way is of course, vacate the moron for a coalition congress.
