As a neutral person and ex-military soldier, I have a question why one army (Hamas) would decide to attack another country and so declare war without due military tactical considerations of power. What was the thought process to attack and declare knowing that the scales of military powers are completely one sided?? 🤔 What was the governing heads expecting to achieve? It seems to me that this was inevitable that a brutal retaliation would be the absolute response. So now would it not make sense to do damage control and save lives by handing back all the hostages in order to stop the retaliation. Then secure a bigger window of humanitarian aid and medical intervention. Why would Hamas want to keep bringing harm to the citizens full knowing they will be defeated by a nuclear power.

    Imagine three people working together, lifting heavy rocks. One is tired and says, "It's hard work." The second one says, "I'm doing it for money." The third one proudly says, "I'm building a temple."

    Building a temple seems easier because it gives a bigger purpose. This is the key to finding happiness in any situation, including difficult ones. We can always dream of bigger and better things if we think of a higher goal, and we would thus be wise to always try to do something important, as it gives us a reason to work.

    Setting goals thus helps us find happiness, even in tough times. If our goal is like building a temple, the hard work feels lighter. Also, if we aim at a great goal in life, we can inspire others to also set a great goal for themselves, leading with a positive example. Simply put, having meaningful goals and inspiring examples can change how we all work toward happier lives.
