It obviously helps Ukrainians but it also helps invest Turkey in Ukraine’s long term survival.
Good to buddy up with the other regional power for sure.
Henceforth, the former Black Sea shall be known as Lake NATO
Wonder where the Ukraine funding support will come from? Can’t see it being from US or other suppliers of similar aircraft.
Not convinced Turkey will have the know-how or the money to develop a 5th gen stealth fighter. Russia tried and failed, by most accounts. China just stole the plans for the f35 in true China style!
I think this is fairly unlikely honestly; KAAN is going to be over $100 million per airframe; a meaningful fleet of those is likely to realistically be outside of Ukraine’s budget for some time.
I hope when that time comes, the war will be long gone.
Hoping to see “the Wrath of KAAN” then!
The turkish plane you are looking is closer to a doner than to a 5th gen fighter. If I were Ukraine I would keep my money for f16.
We will see this fighter in the sky 100 years later for sure. They can’t do this plane because turkey has a huge economic problems. How are they planning to build this plane without money:)
It would be great to see Ukraine and Turkey work together to build a production plant for these aircraft in Ukraine. It has already happened with Bayraktar drones.

This would be awesome for both countries.
