Considering dog fouling is the number cause of swimming bans in Ireland, this is a good idea.
Some of us dog owners always clean up after our mutts and absolutely abhor the wankers who don’t and give us all a bad name. Never seen any of the horse riders cleaning up the massive piles of turd left behind by those four legged dunces they ride though.
Yeah good luck banning dogs. Who’s going to police it? You’re going to get dozens if not hundreds to stop their dogs walking on the beach. Banna is my local and I don’t think I’ll be stopping. Some of us pick up our dogs shit. Maybe fine the people that don’t.
It’s already a fineable offense to not pick up after your dog. Do you really think the same people who are going to walk off after their dog shits on a beach, are going to follow this ban? Enforcement is the issue here, same as many issues in Ireland
The have these bans in Spain in summer. Just a money makes for local councils.The people will still let their dog crap on the beach only this time some of them will get fines. Literally unenforceable in Ireland
