First, thank for answering my questions. I’m in the USA and having trouble finding real authentic Xylitol. Most seem to be fake unfortunately. I heard that in Finland you all use Xylitol so I am looking up your Xylitol brands on Amazon. I will post a picture below of the product I am trying to buy. Sorry, for so many questions.

1. I know it’s Xylitol but in what form? Powder or mint?

2. Is the primary purpose for good teeth?

3. Is it organic and Non-gmo?

4. What country is the Xylitol harvested from? Most Xylitol is from China from my understanding.

5. Is this Xylitol from Birch Bark or Corn?

6. Is this a trusted brand in Finland?

  1. 1. This one is like a… pill? This one is strawberry and pear flavored.
    2. Yes
    3. I assume so, it is 95% xylitol, rest is whatever keeps the pill intact and the flavor is said to be natural in the bag.
    4. I don’t know, doesn’t say.
    5. I don’t know, doesn’t say
    6. Jenkki is very mainstream brand.

  2. Mint. Yes. I’d guess organic, packaging says “flavours from the nature” and “no added colours”. Dunno, couldn’t find on Google. Dunno, didn’t go deep enough to find. Yes – that brand was the first to make xylitol gum in the world.

  3. In Finland, Xylitol is extracted from a Moomin’s anal gland, so it should be organic and non-GMO.

  4. That one is meant for children, usually grown ups prefer gum. It contains ”pills” that taste of strawberry or pear and melt in the mouth.

Earlier Jenkki used xylitol made from birch, but I think they use something else nowadays because of the price. You might want to ask them directly.

  5. 1. [Soft and crumbly powder “candies”.](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ldKvcqH0IQc/V8Ch-Iei-SI/AAAAAAAAQ9s/G5d6v6UK-mIXtN8O_rCOt_8xZ37lLNHpACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160826_071119.jpg)
    2. Brushing twice a day for 2 minutes with a fluorine toothpaste, not eating every 15 minutes and having xylitol after every meal is a good combo
    3. Can’t find info on that
    4. Same as above
    5. Company representatives said moat xylitol is harvested form corn and beech and if you eat their products, you’ll probably have one of those. So no clear info on that either
    6. Yes. This is the biggest and most famous brand for that. They invented xylitol chewing gum in 1970s and finnish dental association recommends using them

    4.

  6. I dont really know the specific things going on in it but pretty much every finn consumes jenkki products daily/often. Its a really popular company. I would recomend these because these are kinda like “powdery” pills that you either keep in ur mouth like hard candys or you just chew them.

6 i would says so. I have eaten their products all my life

  7. Every Finnish toddler and child gets a few of these every day! Solid stuff, pleasant taste.

    Trusted brand for sure.

  8. 1. Pastille

    2. Yes, atlhtough there’s no definite scientific evidence on the efficacy of xylitol products.

    3. If the package doesn’t say “luomu” then it’s probably not organic. The package says it has natural flavorings and no artificial colors. There’s nothing wrong with GMO so why should you even care about that?

    4. No idea

    5. No idea

    6. It’s a very popular brand and at least some Jenkki products are endorsed by the Finnish Dental Association.

  9. Hello, this is the only brand we can find in a market. I haven’t seen anything else. Dentist and other families suggested using it and every kid in the daycare have their own stash.

It’s like a candy but turns into powder form when you start chewing it. Made from birch tree afaik.
