Ronda Santis: “Damn….since I’m not running for President anymore, I guess I have to actually do some work now….”
>He blamed “activists” on both the left and right for “hijacking” the process of banning books, accusing them of submitting book challenges solely to create a media narrative.
>
>Essentially, DeSantis is now trying to point fingers at anyone besides himself and his allies, calling the book bans “theater” and “performative.”
Finally, some self-awareness from Florida Man. But the harm has been done.
If I read this right, he isn’t back tracking on book banning. Just the banning of books he wouldn’t have banned. So I guess he is really saying, only HE knows what’s appropriate for kids in school to see and read? You know, better than librarians, school administrators and such.
End of the day, this is the chaos that happens if you force schools to ‘take input’ from all parents. Let the professionals do their jobs and keep politics out of schools.
How the Disney lawsuit going puddin fingers?
Florida tried to make your America illiterate.
Hold on. This is giving Rhonda Santis too much credit.
Rhonda doesn’t object to books being banned, he still thinks that was a great idea. He is just really annoyed that people are stopping him from banning the books he wants to, and keep nominating other books to banned in order derail the process.
Rhonda isn’t sorry for what he did, Rhonda is upset it didn’t work properly.
Fucking loser admits to losing
Did he finally realize the Bible is full of “questionable” activities?
Fuck DeSantis and his Swampass state
I seriously doubt he said or believes this
‘Even standing on his tip-toes, he could not reach any of the books on the top shelf, which heavily curtailed his efforts.”
Ron Desantis is Woke now! /s
Hasn’t everything he’s ever touched turned into a disaster?
Why are we still talking about this shitbird?
Having lost to a theme park, a local geriatric, local governor now loses to books.
lmao a school board banned the dictionary in protest. nice going hahaha
You know who is a complete disaster – Ron Disaster
He and his governorship is a total disaster.
The problem for Ron is he did all this stupid shit hoping it would help launch him into the oval office.
He set fire to his state so that he could illuminate himself. Now he sees he has to actually still be governor so he has to put out some fires. He will be remembered very poorly by Floridians once a new governor comes in and he has lost any chance at the presidency. The new governor will inherit a fan actively covered in shit and will quickly point to Desantis.
Everything he does is a total disaster. Book bans, education policy, his war with Disney… it’s all a bunch of culture wars bullshit designed to highlight his “anti-woke” status. It’s all about *him*, not the people of Florida. He elevated himself politically at their expense, costing them money and doing nothing to improve their lives. His war with Disney is a *cost*, not a benefit, to the people of the state, and that’s just one example.
He’s a bumbling fool. His campaign was a pathetic shitshow, and he has nothing to show for it. He has burned his state on multiple fronts for his own ego and career, and the people of Florida have nothing to show for it.
Total disaster. Now he can fuck off back to where he came from and deal with his mess like every little boy who throws a tantrum.
So, too, has his anti-immigration bill(s) that have all but stopped farming down there, so too, has his anti-abortion BS, losing at every opportunity this GOP is so unpopular that I don’t even think gerrymandering will work anymore hahahaaa
Ingenious asshole. He knew exactly what he was doing and celebrated the facist outcomes, until that scum sucking loser had to drop out of the race with his tale between his legs. Now he’s trying to save his hide from a Florida electorate that hates the weasel. I hope he’s politically destroyed.
One positive is that it made Illinois sign a new law that boils down to “if any public institution bans a book, then they lose public funding.” This keeps the wackos from the right from banning our books.
Much like himself, a complete disaster. Terrible human being.
Eat scat De Sandtits. Same goes for your supporters
Screw republicans
Everything he has a hand in is a disaster.
Another asshole, only this time there is no excuse that he is illiterate or stupid just traitorous and inept and morally lacking
The Florida Republican Party for some reason think they are in the 1950’s. Do they not expect pushback? “These people” to republicans have lawyers and social media too.
LOL, I had no idea they tried to ban the dictionary. But I bet the Bible wasn’t banned.
This guy is so insignificant now, and I find that so hilarious. I know that folks who live in Florida still have to deal with his ass, but his brand is so damaged that he has damaged the GOP in that State big time. I would only be slightly surprised of a Democratic Governor was elected in the next cycle.
Freedom of religion, but only my religion.
Ban books, but only my books.
You would think that a Harvard-educated lawyer would see the vagueness of a bill he signed into law and the legal ambiguity it might create. But that assumes Ron is competent and actually cares
