  1. This money mostly spent inside country, so this is good thing for Russia

  2. The value of natural resources on the territory of The Ukraine currently controlled by Russia = $12,000,000,000,000. That’s 12 trillion for redditors from Oregon. That’s resources that we currently know about.

  3. Imagine if they invested in the well-being of their own population instead…

  4. Somehow barely more than the annual cost of the Afghanistan war.

  5. So that’s 400 days oil & gas sales at Jan 2022 prices. And it has another $130bn in the Russia’s National Wealth Fund.

We should have cut Russian gas in 2014. Putin’s funds are all down to Europe being hooked on Putin’s fossil fuels

  6. russia really benefited in this war from all the gear that Soviet Union built.

  7. Imagine spending 200 billion US Dollars in infrastructure, schools, universities or other social projects

  8. That was Putin’s estimated wealth prior to the invasion.

  9. That’s probably x10 their education budget since 1991

  10. ruzzia can spend 5 times more for the war, as long as US is supporting ruzzia by purchasing gas and oil from ruzzia.

  11. I genuinely think Russia is hurting and hurting bad, but we won’t know because they wouldn’t ever say and the EU panicking along with “woah is Ukraine” as of late have given them a renewed push. Russia could collapse tomorrow and we wouldn’t have seen it coming (I mean, weapon wise) I mean ffs, they’re buying from NK! _north korea_ and paying through the roof to Iran. Chinese is fleecing them, even India is taking advantage.

If Europe just stuck with the plan and stopped the doom mongering we might be seeing a different outcome but the EU blinked and Russia seized on it.

I’m not saying Ukraine would have won tomorrow but it’s war, things always go back and forth, it’s tug of war. We’re not helping Ukraines morale.

I’m not going to say what I think Ukraine should do, it’s their choice, their country, their lives on the line and it’s down to them, but we should be supporting them until the end without all the constant fearmongering (I don’t mean from the krembots, they’re too obvious, I mean from our leaders)

  12. Seems low. Guess they are not incorporating the statistical value of a human life

  13. Vicky Nuland : We spent 5 billion organizing Maidan.

US has stoked 150 billions to keep war flames up in ukraine.

But wait, Europe, to keep Ukraine up and running You need showel every month at least 5 billions to Ukraine.

  14. The only people who can’t spend money they don’t have are people that work.

  15. There is no population in russia “for centuries” only “slaves” and “meat” also the “tsar” in many different names with sugarcoated titles.

  16. I’m shocked that Tucker Carlson’s white nationalist blog would report this.

  17. And what do they have to show for it ? Ukraine still has the vast majority of it’s land and is more determine than ever to keep fighting, even if Western aid dries up.

I genuinely wonder what the end goal here is for Russia because they will never conquer Ukraine. At best maybe keep parts of the separatist regions and Crimea and having to endure Ukrainian attempts to get those back.

  18. Putin could have built himself 200 dachas with that money

  19. If their soldiers are worth 1 ruble to the nation how is that possible

  20. No one is going to mention where this money came from? Russia has no production to speak of. All the money comes from oil and gas exports pretty much. And there is only one customer buying it: Europe.

EU countries prefer a thug like Putler because it gives them lower prices for these products. Not to mention Russian cheap brain drain to EU and US.

  21. Only half of 424 billions that West paid to Russia in 2022-2023 years?

  22. For comparison, how much did Ukraine and it’s allies spent?

  23. US officials say*, not Russian officials as implied by the headline.
