  1. RDJ was clearly done with iron man and he’s a great actor so it’s nice to see him no longer be shackled to that one note roll of Tony Stark and pursue other roles.

  2. I think many of marvel and dc actors feel that way. You can see that Tom Holland REALLY wants to get casted in something great that’s not spiderman. It seems like these movies tend to hurt careers rather than help them because you then get typcasted. You can tell the actors/actresses in these movies want something more challenging and they’re not taken as seriously because of it.

They’ve turned Thors character into an extreme goofball and now most people view Chris’ acting abilities as that. RDJ is a great actor who deserves to be known for more than Iron Man.

It doesn’t help that so many Marvel and DC movies have just been dog shit as of late.

  3. Rdj is kind of a character actor, anyone that needs a pompous/sarcastic/snide/egotistical character he could do the role easily. I don’t think the role in Oppenheimer was really a stretch for him. I think he definitely could do other things but just needs to put himself out there/needs more chances in roles that aren’t what he’s done previously to expand his range. Other marvel actors have done well but because Rdj has that typical role/character I think it’s a bit more difficult for him

  4. Truly, do any of the Oscar nominees have the press as much on their side as Murphy and RDJ do?

  5. That MCU money is amazing, but good luck getting out of that type cast. I’ve been a RDJ fan since back to school, I’m glad to see my sober brother break free.

  6. He’s really been gushing about this movie. Which is understandable, it’s great. And he’s great in it.
