I know it’s so fun to hate on him but the answer is no. Without him we’re going to really struggle to score
I do think the PSG “might” be better next season without Mbappe, I just don’t think it would necessarily be because of him leaving in particular.
There’s obviously the concept of liberating wages and what not, but that’s really a PSG management issue and not an Mbappe issue, they should have left Mbappe leave two years ago, or sell him the year before and that’s it, so the financial issue for me is kind of a different question, but yeah it might be a positive to not have to pay such absurd wages.
Now on the field itself, I think Luis Enrique for once is building up to something, unlike Pochettino and Galtier before him, so if they stick to it, there is a real potential for growth. Right now the team has many areas to work on, the midfield is not quite there, the players haven’t built a consistent and really solid collective play, but they show good things at moments, given time there could be a lot of improvements, and with a properly good recruitment to reinforce the weak areas, the team could change for the better, and the collective could perform overall much better than this season with Mbappe, but that doesn’t mean it’s *because* Mbappe left the team.
