I have just visited the city of Antwerpen. It is very cultural, clean, relaxing – awesome!
However… I am also very passionate about observing the public transport system of each country. Belgium is not an exception…

Just tell me, WHY WOULD ANY ENGINEERS CREATE SUCH THING???
It is hilarious!

I don’t want to offend any Belgium citizen by saying this. I just want to understand what is the story of constructing this creation. Why couldn’t it be just a typical “integrated double-sided locomotive-cart train” (I don’t know how to call it correctly).

The question is still stuck in my head. WHY???

  1. It is called a Danish Train. Because it is built in Denmark, not exclusive to Belgium.

    Why: because you can disable the driving cabin and connect multiple trains while allowing to circulate inside the whole train.
