Where have 2019 voters gone in Scotland?

  1. I’m not sure that dividing the population down the middle on the grounds of the question from the 2014 referendum as if they’re somehow different “species” is particularly helpful these days.

The story in the last few years overall is a switch from a position where the SNP were polling at 40% with all other parties in less than 20% to a position now where they’re neck and neck with Labour on around 30% a piece.

A position nobody would have thought credible had anyone predicted it in 2019 or 2015.

  2. Voter apathy is going to be a big deal in the next election.

Labour voters thinking it’s in the bag and not bothering. Tory voters not willing to vote for anyone else but uninsprired to vote tory. Same for SNP voters disillusioned with the SNP.
