This morning I shall tidy out work van, after putting tracks on an excavator yesterday I seem to have most of Buckinghamshires mud in the back of my van.
I’m at work again! Yay! So all the caffeine, radio on, possibly a McDonald’s lunch, and hoping the shift goes as quickly as possible. I think the husband is making chilli and nachos for tea, which will be lovely.
I’ve been a bit down the last few days, and I can’t really explain why, but I’m trying to be positive and keep upbeat. Fake it till you make it. Happy Saturday all!
Just having a coffee in bed. Will get up in 10, do a kettlebell workout and shower. Clean up a bit. Go and buy a new bulb for kitchen. Then get ready for dinner and a show this evening.
Work has been so intensely busy I need a fun and/or relaxing weekend. Not sure what I’m doing today, deff going to try to get to the gym, maybe play some Mario Wonder, I got half way through over Christmas.
Training my new puppy, playing lots of games with him, his first family walk in the countryside, family dinner after. Did I mention I have a new puppy, he’s 14 weeks old and sleeps through the night. He’s a good boy.
I’m hungover in bed as I drank too much wine last night. My husband is downstairs with our puppy as he woke up at 7. My best friend is coming over this afternoon, which will be nice.
Had a really busy and quite tiring week. Massively looking forward to taking the dog a long walk, calling at the local cafe for a coffee and bacon roll and back home to actually relax. Started watching Westworld (I know I’m late to that series); will likely watch a few episodes on the sofa with the hound tired post long walk. Will be a late night though; youngest son arriving home from a skiing trip at 3am Sunday.
Lie in with tea… Then my rather handy boyfriend is coming over to change the flush on the downstairs loo .hopefully he won’t charge me. .then a meal out tonight for his birthday .
Going out for a breakfast bagel. It will be incredibly bougie. Then Sam Campbell this evening. It’ll be a laugh.
I need three professionals to do work in the house. Today we try to overcome the lessons of experience and expect one of them to show up and do any of the work.
As far as I can tell, this guy is going to be the one with the biggest bill so I have the most hope for him.
Child V2 has been sick. Every 30 to 60 mins since 3am. We are running out of towels .
Child V1 is angry we are not doing anything fun.
We’re going to buy new curtains. Life is rock and roll these days.
At home with my son whilst hubs takes daughter to her dance classes. Got a big shop being delivered at 11 but apart from that it’s a pretty chill day! Hope to catch up on some house work and spend some time in my new craft room doing some cross stitch.
Off for a fry up
I’ve just got into bed, and it is glorious. I love my bed.
Got woken up by bastard neighbour upstairs who stomps like an elephant. Literally, every weekend this happens, as they seem to get up earlier than workdays. To add insult to injury I didn’t get to sleep until like 2am
Woke up to the dog jumping in my head at 7, sitting in the garden having a black coffee..going to get dressed grab a breakfast wrap then price up a job..dog walk..dinner, might have a chippy then watch sand job with a few beers.
In the saga of my kid never wanting to go out: this weekend we’re visiting my parents. It was my son’s idea to go see my brother at work, he is a bus driver and my son wants to ride his bus. Now he won’t leave the house or get dressed.
I know he’ll be disappointed if we don’t go, and so will my brother who’s expecting to see us. I don’t want to force my son, but also it’s all planned now and it was his idea…
We’re going anyway so wish me luck…
DIY.
We’re part way through dismantling a built in wardrobe that’s way too big for the tiny room it’s in. The doors and tracks came off last weekend. Gotta rip out the shelving and poles today, and chuck up a plain clothes rail. Already got flatpack storage built to contain the stuff on the shelves, so fingers crossed it’ll be easy enough once the other half is awake and suitably caffinated.
Me and my wife both have eye appointments at 11am so we’re lounging around a bit til then. Afterwards I’m treating us to sandwiches from a nearby Mark Bennett’s bakery – they are among the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! It’s meant to piss down rain later so making the most of the morning and early afternoon.
Going to see a friend and her two dogs and four ponies. It finally feels like spring and I’m excited to spend it outdoors.
I’m recovering from a week of covid and the wife has it :/

Heading out shortly to try and find some 1901 Iron Bru so I can do some taste tests to compare if the [version I made](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cordials/comments/1asfnjs/based_on_a_114_year_old_recipe_the_recipe_needs_a/) is anywhere close to the original.
