It’s surely time for some form of country wide demonstration. I’m not talking about independence versus the union. I’m talking a full on revolution against the government for the entire population being fleeced at every turn whilst these companies laugh into their tax free glass of bubbles. A demonstration for the ages until there is no option but to set prices at a fair level. I’ll kick about outside Holyrood until this gets enough upvotes 🫡

  3. Sad to say the country doesnt have the balls to protest in any meaningful way, that is why we are where we are now. Combined with self serving politicians who lack the balls to tax these rats they will keep prices high for as long as they can. The only thing we can do is cut our use to the bare minimum and keep it that way. Fuck British Gas, at least a thief wears a mask.

  4. I like your spirit, but unfortunately I really don’t think demonstrating outside Holyrood is going to achieve anything given that Energy Policy is wholly reserved to the UK Gov. So fighting for Independence probably is the best way to change this reality.

    But yes – the UK Gov has absolutely facilitated a wealth extraction from the poorest to the richest. Not so much trickle down economics as funnel up economics. We are all being taken for mugs, and disaster economics are in full effect.

    We seriously need to protest en mass.. block refineries smash up energy firm headquarters and force them to answer for this blatant fleecing of the public

    If they keep doing it… seriously? Burn it all down..

    So give me a time and a place I will be there.

    I’d love to see this happen. It never will now and because of that the wealth distribution gap is only going to get worse.
