    Unfortunately, the SEC just handed him an easy out by approving the merger of Truth Social with a SPAC.

  6. Trump could have just invested in stocks and indexes in 1975 and would have been immensely rich. He ruins everything he touches and if he hadn’t had the huge head start from his father he would be in poverty or jail right now.

    Edit: The rough gain per year for the last 40 years has been about 9 percent per year. Given that Trump would have turned 300 million into about 9 billion. Assuming he took out 10 million to live per year the value would be about 5 billion (rough rough guess).

    He is such a loser.

  8. Trump could have walked away quietly after losing in 2020.Instead,he went the insurrection route and verbally attacked all of those involved in proving him a fraud. In the process he pissed some powerful people with the law on their side. Donald Trump is his own worst enemy. He deserves everything he gets.

  24. David Cay Johnston wrote “The Making of Donald Trump”. It’s a more detailed account of the Guardian article and highly informative. It’s well written and an easy read.

    It’s literally decades of grifting. Like if they had the opportunity to do an actual honest deal, they would figure out a way to make it shady, fraudulent, or not pay someone they owe.

  33. I honestly can not believe how many cliches Trump has managed to achieve. At the end of the day, he is a reminder of the failure of our systems. He is the embodiment of our racist and sexist institutions. Being wealthy and black means you get scrutinized, being wealthy and white means you get overlooked during prosecutorial meetings. His crimes have been on the “books” for decades, even tax evasion, so why was he allowed to shirk off accountability for 50-70 years? To then be allowed to run for fucking president like he was some squeaky-clean politician. If he was black, or a woman, they would have taken him down way back in the 70s.

  34. Go back and look at pictures of Donald Trump when he was a young boy. You can tell he was very apparently shy and uncertain. And somehow someone told him to win at all costs means you’re the best of the best of men.
