  1. >An RTÉ spokesperson said participants in RTÉ content are asked to not wear badges, symbols or emblems related to one particular point of view in the absence of a forum for a representation of all views.

    Hmmm..

    >Over 600,000 viewers tuned in to watch RTE’s Late Late Show special on Friday – which raised over €3 million for the Ukraine fundraising appeal.

  2. Whilst that genocidal ambassador was on national news proudly wearing an Israeli pin

  3. But under whos directon where they asked? Was is exec producers Michael Kealy,Jim Jennings or Larry Masterson? Was it Kealty himself? Some smart arse with a radio microphone earpiece and an ipad acting alone? I mean the singers didn’t take it off even when asked so fair play but let’s name the individual that asked them can this be found out? Is is RTE protocol? Went ahead anyway so probably not. So it had to have been a pro israeli stooge right? Chancing their arm?

  4. That should finish any doubts people had on whether to pay TV license or not🤔

  5. Hmm surprising. Like the programmes happy to discuss Palestine and the atrocities with Michelle O’Neil so I’m confused why a few pins would be seen as problematic.

Edit: should have read in full first,

“An RTÉ spokesperson said participants in RTÉ content are asked to not wear badges, symbols or emblems related to one particular point of view in the absence of a forum for a representation of all views.”

Kind of makes sense I suppose.

  6. The same show held an entire episode for Ukraine. Interesting.

  7. Considering that the badges were of watermelons, couldn’t the performers claim that it was just RTÈ that got the context wrong (as a way to keep them on)
