  2. Sadly, I could tell from the photo that it is worse. Color is off, egg was made to fast, and potatoes are a way cheaper side dish. Also, you can usually tell how good the quality of meat is looking at the chunks. Gulasch should be done from medium prized meat like shoulder or calf, but there is one silly custom in Austria, that really does not well for Gulasch: Cutoffs from all kinds of meat are put into a big bowl and sold as gulasch-meat for cheap. Or they call it soup meat. And don’t you ever dare buy that crap if you want a high quality result. 

  3. Ich hoffe die 10 Leute die mich im anderen Fiakergulaschthread gefragt haben, was sonst außer Semmelknödel sollte bei einem Fiakergulasch dabei sein schauen auch in diesen Thread 😀
