Village idiots are not trying to actively make lives worse for others, nor do they have the ability to affect anyone but themselves with their stupidity or actions. People like Bridgen are not idiots, they know exactly what they are trying to do and it is not something good for the people he is supposed to represent.
Shutting down peaceful protest can’t come soon enough for the Tory party.
Being a politician is an utterly thankless job.
Whichever party you represent, a fair chunk of society hates your guts.
