  1. I’d probably vote for them, if they run someone in my area. Which they didn’t last time :/

  2. I normally consider myself apolitical, but I’m sick of the inefficiencies, scandals, shortfalls and lip service that successive governments seem to be fond of.

I heard her speech tonight, and there’s a lot of it that makes sense.

I’m not going to give out about the government, if I dont do my part for change. I’ll have a proper look at Soc Dems for the election.

  3. I actually voted for the SDs in the last election, but now I can’t stand them. I thought they’d be our new workers party/labour party.

They’re revealed themselves to be a bunch of out of touch, naive, champagne socialists that care more about twitter and pushing US culture war bullshit than actually helping people.

Hell, some of them (like Gary Gannon) barely attend the Dail, and are just there to collect a paycheck

  4. Im sure Holly Cairns will be among the last of the “just give woman a chance” politicians. there’s not going to be much appetite for humouring such chancers in the years ahead. women will have to do more than retweet populist stuff and hope it translates to elevation via quota

  5. What does she actually want to do?  How is she going to reorganise the public sector and make it more efficient and accountable?  Where is she going to collect more tax for her projects?  How is she going to get the scum off our streets? What’s her plan for more FDI?
What is her stance on immigration? Is it waffle?  What actual executive experience does she or her party have? (We don’t need more Helen McEntees)

  6. Watched her speech. She wants to enact the occupied territories bill, recognise Palestine and demand more action than words… that alone for me at the minute would earn my vote .

  7. No immigration / emigration policy on their manifesto or website currently ? Their position on this needs to be crystal clear , it’s going to make or break parties in the next election .

  8. She says they’ll build loads of houses etc etc… they are not in government and they don’t know the half of what the big corporations do to influence decisions. Naive as fuck.
