Within the article, it has Leo backtracking and saying the hotel could be kept open for partial use or other hotel rooms currently used by Ukrainians could be used.
Why do they persist with not communicating with local representatives when they keep saying they will.
If there was potential alternative solutions other than the government fully taking over the biggest hotel in town, that should have been discussed and agreed upon before contracts were signed and before it was announced.

One of the speakers, warning that not only are women not safe but men either, told a story of how a farmer out looking after his horse was attacked by a North African rape gang who were hiding in a hedge. Its like something out of The Savage Eye
What they should be doing, and in fact, what happens already is don’t completely use hotels for refugees. Just book out a number of rooms and leave the others for normal use.
