Honestly everyone already expects that of him already, but he’s just not budging
Given that BoJo has already done that on many, many occasions you’d have thought he would have resigned long ago…
Factually that’s not true. Every pm for years has lied repeatedly and blatantly and gotten away with it.
I’d like to see bojo hung drawn and quartered. But let’s get real here, whether he goes or not is a matter of personal choice for the 1922 committee. Not a matter of factual guilt (which we long since passed without issue).
Any lie in particular, Raab?
There’s hardly been a shortage of them, now, has there?
There are videos that demonstrate that he’s been lying to parliament since he became PM. He should have been out of the role before the election in ’19.
The one tenuous silver lining I cling to is that at least most of us don’t regard this as ‘normal’ yet.
For all the flaws of previous administrations at least when ministers of state actually *got caught* in open dishonesty or corruption they usually resigned – if only to stop their party from being slaughtered at the next election.
Not Boris and his cronies though. That’s what different and broken. But the reason they reckon they can get away with it is because the English electorate is broken too: as the demonstrated with painful clarity in 2019 they are apparently quite happy to elect corrupt liars who promise to ‘get Brexit done’.
I can’t remember a PM who didn’t lie and get called out for corruption.
Boris. May. Cameron. Blair and his “cash for peers” scandal. Major and the sleaze.
Unless you’re older than 50 you’ve probably never lived through an honourable leader.
Thickie Raab can’t even keep to the extremely simple script. Just opening doors everyone around him would rather stay nailed shut with a curtain over them.
