[Ian Wright] Kobbie Mainoo has to be in the next England squad. Such maturity in chaotic conditions that we’ve not seen from a England player in a long time. Impressed every time I watch him.

3. He’s better than Henderson and Phillips, but it’s too close to the Euro’s, Southgate won’t risk the chemistry at this point, he’s got his favourites.

7. Whilst quietly Lewis Miley is 17 and is arguably better, bullying grown men in the middle of the park & in my personal opinion has the higher ceiling.

9. Barkley’s recent performances would put him ahead of Mainoo IMO. Be good for him to get camp exposure though.

    He is doing great being the only guy who can paper over the cracks of an absolute shitshow, but that’s an entirely different skill set than being able to elevate a good team.
