Hi fellas, so I’m wondering perhaps any of you have the knowledge, experience, tips or whatever regarding my case:

I want to move, legally, my entire family (me, Czech citizen, my wife – Honduran citizen who enjoys Czech permanent residency status and our two underage kids – both having dual Honduran and Czech citizenships) to the US.

I’m back in Europe, at the moment, my wife with the kids is in Honduras, Central America. I’ve been living in Honduras for many years and we got the opportunity to come to the US to stay with an aunt of my wife, in Texas, who is offering us to start anew so to say (a place to stay, establish ourselves, helping to find work and put kids to school, etc.). This is the way people from Central America usually do: reaching the US by whatever means necessary (usually with the of help of “coyote”), finding work, then either soliciting papers or staying illegally, regardless of the implications. The way we could do as well since my kids have ESTA and my wife has B1/B2 visa to the US, permitting us all to enter the US, for a limited period of time.

Nonetheless, I want to do everything legally, since the very start. I have, due to my previous employments in both Europe and America, a chance to solicit either the Green Card or working permit in the US due to some job offers I found in internet. This is just me, albeit unsecure. My wife could perhaps solicit an asylum status (a lot of Hondurans do) but the kids have dual citizenship and my wife is a EU resident so I’m unsure if she would be eligible for that.

I’m at loss a bit, even though I did my research on [uscis.gov](https://uscis.gov) and [travel.state.gov](https://travel.state.gov/). I didn’t contacted any embassy yet thinking perhaps any of you have some experience in this process and could give me any hint or tip before proceeding any further.

I’d be grateful for any comment or DM and if necessary, it’s not a problem to explain our case in more details. Thanks people and have a safe night!

  1. Ja bydlim v Texasu, jsem v USA 20 let. Mam GC.
Najdi si zde praci, potom immigracniho pravnika pro rodinu a az potom privez rodinu. 5-7 let mozna dele. Zazadas si status pro rodinu. Potom co dostanes zelenou kartu, pockas 5 let nez budes eligible si zazadat o citizenship.
Takhle jsme to meli s manzelem. On je z UK.
    Good luck

  2. The best way is to handle it through an immigration lawyer and the U.S. embassy. Each case is unique and not necessarily the same for every individual. Subsequently, immigration laws changed over the decades; therefore, people immigrating in the 60s or 90s went through a different path than would people today. Really invest into a lawyer who can navigate through the paperwork on your behalf.
