I was looking to buy an apartment but there are two prices. Which should I have to pay if I buy it on lease?

  1. This appears to be an ”asumisoikeusasunto”.

This means you’re basically buying the right (with a payment of 10958,45€) to rent the apartment (for 598,84€ per month).

In my personal opinion it’s the worst of both worlds, you don’t really own the apartment but you still have to pay extra for the right to rent it. (The advantage being that they can’t just end your lease, and you can stay there basically as long as you want. But I’d rather own my home, than pay rent to a housing company.)

  2. Like tiilet said its asumisoikeusasunto = right-of-occupancy apartment. So u pay first that payment and afrer that u are paying it like a rent. After you move out you get that money back. there will be an index increase on top of the housing right fee.
