Democracy, human rights… = easy money for US companies
The EU will not agree with the American administration unless an invasion takes place.
They need the gas, Russia needs their money, on that basis if Russia isn’t moving EU will not sanction them.
Thentalk sanction, seems to be the American objective even if Russia isn’t invading..
Maybe the entire play here from the Russian side is to create a rift between the EU and the US.

Talks will not create additional supply. The West desperately needs Russian hydrocarbons.
