How is this Capitalism? Seems like human nature and overpopulation to me. It is, however, a really good perspective on the primary problem.
Its not capitalism the cuts down the worlds forests. Its policy. Capitalism needs strong policy to protect the environment, defend the social welfare, and to address key policies affecting all manner of challenges and relationships around the world. Capitalist countries can contain speculative building, moderate growth and protect the environment. The world is exactly the way it is, because of choices we all have collectively made. We can choose a different path.
