[Sport] Thomas Frank on Phil Foden: “For me, I think he’s the closest England get to a potential Ballon d’Or winner!” “He has got that potential, that level. I think he can influence the game in so many ways. He’s a very good dribbler, he can slide people in, he works very hard.”

Jude’s probably got an equally good shout but Phoden is unreal
That person on soccer sub who despises Phil will be so upset!
As a central player, boy is such a genius.
We’ve seen him influence games with his dribbling (Aston Villa, PSG), we’ve seen him influence with his passing (Club Brugge, Atletico. I think this aspect of his hasn’t been shown fully yet). We’ve seen him influence games with his movement.
Level of completeness is amazing. Special, and I’d only be willing to see him do wing shifts to make way for KDB or even Bernardo.
We need to start a petition to rename Foden to Felipe Fodinho.
Typical Frank, gassing up inferior opponents to try to get in their heads! I hate this bald fraud
Am I a joke to you? – Bellingham
Couldn’t even scroll without people already saying “Foden, Really?” My god this Madrid PR has overrated Bellingham so much.
Jamal fucking Musiala who isn’t even English anymore is better then him and has completed football before him and somehow Bellingham will dominate voting for the next decade? The guy could barely beat Bayern in bundesliga and now because it’s the weakest la liga in history we should be impressed?
Sky’s the limit for Foden but I have a problem on how he plays/utilised. This maybe due to instructions from Pep but he has to stop playing with the mindset of a second striker.
For me he’s at his best with the ball to his feet and then making a split second move, whether it be passing the ball or driving the ball forward but instead he constantly makes runs akin to a forward which amplifies one of his weaknesses which is attempting control the ball whiles it’s ahead of him. He doesn’t have the physicality to fight for the ball if he’s hounded down by opposing defenders which then leads to a loss of possession.
I’m happy with his constant movement however I would be much happier if it was for finding space inorder to receive passes to keep the play ticking rather than a one two then burst forward.
TLDR I hope Foden plays more like a central midfielder than a second striker.
I think he forgot about Bellingham. But foden is definitely up there!
the amount of piss boiling this is causing LMAO
