I mean, in theory he isn’t exactly wrong, is he?
NI having pretty unfettered access to both the UK and EU markets, while both of those have a whole bunch of hoops to go through to trade with one another does actually put us at quite an advantage compared to others trying to operate in those markets. If we’re actually smart about this it is we could genuinely make it work for us, it’s just about attracting that investment from both the EU & UK, selling it as a cost saving measure for trade could attract a lot of foreign investment to NI. Plus its something our own business people could take advantage of and give us a leg up in improving this place. Like there’s no need being so pessimistic about everything lads when we’re sitting on a pretty an good deal, one that’s ours to lose.
