I thought missing the bus to school sucked after waking up my mom to tell her the news. Seems like missing the bus to war has worse consequences.

Really, they were going to try and set up some kind of system at the bus stop? I’m guessing a jamming device. Just send out the one tech and all his cables and tools, absolutely no protection. You could see all the cabling in the aftermath, at least I believe that was some kind of cable/wire to run all the way back to their HQ, or back to an antenna of some kind. I don’t know how they install the jamming devices, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they had to run wiring to make sure it was a secure connection.
