Yes, the issues have been mainly with Signalling which is managed by a different company
My experience is absolutely yes, have not come across a delay yet, although I am aware there have been issues the fact is it’s by a mile my preferred route.
There is very little for these companies to do but act as middle men given TfL basically set all the conditions. The staff won’t even notice the difference if the company they are employed by changes over to another since all but the highest execs will transfer over (even then, they could stay on).
They are just making some extra profit because the gov legally prevent TfL running their own rail service.
It’s dramatically improved my commute and I rarely experience delays using it 4 times a week, so I would say yes but I’m aware there have been problems for others who use it more regularly. Wish it ran later!
My only complaint with the Elizabeth line has been the atrocious smell of damp in the Liverpool St station, but that’s nothing to do with the operator.
I go into the office twice a week and frequently experienced delays/issues on the Liz Line most of November/December. It hasn’t been too bad this year thoughm
Never had an issue with it when I needed it
I rely on the Elizabeth Line to get to work and the delays have been daily sometimes, with really poor communication when you’re waiting on the platform or stuck on the train as to when it will get moving again. It’s pretty poor to be honest though it has great potential once they get ot working properly. I lived by the DLR a few years before the Olympics and that was pretty atrocious too until they decided to pump money to fix it to make sure the Olympics wasn’t hampered by it.
I use the Elizabeth Line to get to work and in my experience it has been very reliable, rarely any material delays or issues with it.
That being said, I only go between Paddington and the City. Maybe if you use the outer section regularly the experience may be different, although never had any issues when going between Paddington and Reading on the Elizabeth Line (e.g. when there are strikes or issues with GWR).
Usually fine for me on shenfield branch maybe western side ia bad
