Unfortunately the republiKKKlans have control of the house and don’t get a shit about what their constituents want.
I’d say That sounds very accurate. The MAGA movement is less than a third of the country, they are just really loud.
Now to get 73% to vote that way
Then get the Trumpist Republican MAGA out of Congress. These Putin lovers have betrayed the Americans’ interests.

Most Americans support Ukraine, we just don’t want to pay for a war created by the EU through 20 years of American warnings not to become dependent on Russian energy and prop up the Putin regime. The Europeans didn’t listen and leveraged cheap energy against a massive trade US deficit while spending their defense funds on free healthcare and months long gov. paid vacations for all. They also put up huge trade barriers and indicted core US businesses in Europe that they could not ban.
Now the Americans are saying the EU should pay for the war in Ukraine. Seems more than fair to me.
They might support Ukraine but half of those 73% probably still don’t miss a beat when voting for a Republican.
Americans are hypocrites. They vote against their own interest and what they actually want all the time.
Ukraine will eventually become an immensely important NATO member, which makes it important to American interests.
Even if the conflict was frozen at the current front lines, Ukraine still the retains access to the Black sea, which means that the russian Navy base in Sevastopol is in reach of missiles and sea drones. The land bridge to Crimea is narrow, any rail supply lines are in HIMARS range.
Russia knows this, and most likely will try to conquer more Ukrainian territory, no matter the cost in lives. If the US helps Ukraine to defend its land, it will absolutely pay off in the long run, for both the US and NATO.
