Have you heard Britain might be running low on tea the last time this happened the British government stepped in and bought up all the tea in the world we were unprepared it was 1942 halfway through the second world war Germany was massively disrupting British Food Supplies and the government realized
That if we lost our cuppers all hell would break loose so it bought up millions of tons of tea and placed it in over 500 locations across the country because the British were still hurting from 1941 when German planes bombed mincing Lane in London and destroyed half of Britain’s tea Supply Winston Churchill
Would not risk that again fast forward 80 years and today’s issues are partly due to hooti Rebels from Yemen attacking Red Sea ships that causes delays on tea coming from Asia and East Africa Sainsbury’s tley and Yorkshire Tea have all said they’re experiencing Supply problems but they’re not expecting significant challenges
