Lab-grown meat was banned in Alabama just three days ago. Not sure if the trend is just conservative states doing the bans or if it’s all states with a strong cattle lobby. A venn diagram of the two may be a perfect circle.
The free market is only okay when it doesn’t bother lobbyists.

When all the livestock dies from heat domes, then the hand wringing will begin, and then they’ll look like right asses with no one to blame but themselves but God knows they’ll try to find someone.
