This is so inhumane. These poor people. Everyone deserves a decent roof over their heads but especially when life has already dealt you such a rough hand.

If you read the article, the council have doing nothing wrong here. She’s being evicted on a no-fault Section 21. You can’t assess someone as homeless until they *present as homeless* to the local authority. This is the legal starting point. There’s no such thing as “probably will be homeless”. You’re either homeless, or you’re not.
