Shit. This is not good for the economy… But I guess it wasn’t avoidable, and ASML won’t find a western country without US influence. So maybe they’ll stay? Let’s hope so.
Dumb decision, all this will do is push China to develop its own capability. ‘Oh, but they’re dumb, they won’t work it out, it’s too difficult!’.

This one patent just shows that the Chinese already have access to a lot of the tech.
Mooi! Jammer van de omzet, maar geopolitiek mogen bedrijven wel bewuster zijn, anders mag de overheid prima instappen om bijvoorbeeld de technologische voorsprong te behouden op actoren die niet het allerbeste met ons voor hebben.
Dit is toch al sinds begin dit jaar? Of mag ASML nu helemaal niets meer exporteren naar China i.p.v. bepaalde DUV-machines?
Alweer? Again?
Deze deal was al afgesproken volgens mij toen trump nog president was….
