During an active shooter recently, there was a school that put a trans person’s life in danger because the designated place of safety was a girl’s locker room. Yes, they prioritized scrutinizing the genitalia of a student (metaphorically speaking I don’t think they had time to LITERALLY do that) during an active shooter situation. You can’t make this stuff up.
It was bad enough kids killed a kid. But the reaction of school administrators deserves criminal investigation. Withholding paramedic care is inexcusable.
Let’s not pretend this is an accident. It’s exactly what conservatives want to happen. This was always the goal.

I hope the parents sue the school and the district for every dollar it’s worth. I know money won’t bring their child back but it will bring a lot of hurt.
The young women who beat them should be sent into juvenile delinquency if they are below age. Anyone involved over 18, as well as the principal, should be on the hook for involuntary manslaughter for the beating that lead directly to the victim’s death, or negligent homicide as school administration — ultimately the principal — should have both intervened sooner, and called an ambulance for the victim’s injuries.

The other kids mercilessly beat another child to death. That’s murder. Give them life imprisonment. If their parents condoned this behavior, they are worthless

I’ve come around to the idea that violence at a high school should always result in an immediate call to the police.
School administrators can’t be trusted to follow policy for things like kids cheating on tests. We absolutely should not trust them to deal with violence.
Treat crimes as crimes.
