Cause Estonia won’t bow to Russia’s pressure and Russia wants them back in the Russian hen house like all the other satellite countries they lost (in 1990-1 when the Wall to EU and NATO) one way or another.
This is Russia nudging the NATO Article 5 needle as far as they can without roping NATO into all-out war. The moment NATO mobilizes, Ukraine airspace is theirs. Then the EW systems blind Russia’s anti-aircraft sites, which then get bombed to shit.
The aim will be to push Russia out of occupied Ukraine, returning their sovereign borders, then commit as much damage on Russia to make remobilization a pipe dream.
Economic sanctions will further stifle Russian economic development. In 70 years we’ll see another leader take the helm there, rally their people under Russian nationalism, and fire up the war machine again…
