  1. >The final numbers are in: Jon Stewart’s February 12 return to Comedy Central’s The Daily Show averaged more than 3 million total viewers across the night in Nielsen’s Live+3 numbers, which include simulcasts and the encore.

    >The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was No. 1 across all cable (originals and encores) at 11 p.m. in key demos and total viewers, according to Nielsen results. It posted triple-digit growth versus Trevor Noah’s final show; it was up 116% to 374,000 among adults 18-49; up 129% to 498K among adults 25-54; and up 129% to 1.65 million among total viewers.

    >It was the Daily Show‘s biggest premiere audience since August 2017.

And his [first monologue](https://youtu.be/NpBPm0b9deQ?si=8l-QkYHDOKFQhfOP) almost has 9 million views on YouTube

  2. Ukraine elected a comedian/actor. All things considered, he seems to be doing well in the position.

    Stewart ‘28?

  3. That’s like a portion of Los Angeles. Big whoop. He’s a washed up nobody.

  4. Is that all? Youtube clips of each segment on their channel have the same number of views…. I take it the advertisers are aware. Broadcast TV is dead.

  5. Let’s Go Jon! Good to see some truth on TV again. Been a while!

  6. This feels like it was posted nearly every day since 2/12 and most of the comments here feel automated.

  7. No offence to the other host and there’s all great but just keep John on for all week

  8. Do they count the YouTube views. I cut cable and can only watch clips on YouTube.

  9. He was joking about tv being dying medium but seriously, these numbers confirm it. It is unsustainable to have a whole production crew and well paid hosts and a whole studio with a live audience for… 3 million views. That’s less than the big YouTubers, and far more expensive to produce.

  10. This is the levity and balance correcting back to reality we all needed.

  11. How do they even measure this between all the streaming platforms it can be viewed on?
