  1. “hungry crowds tried to attack the trucks, which then faced gunfire as they entered the city”

This is all the relevant information in this article. The slant of this article is absolutely hilariously obvious because it doesn’t mention who the gunfire came from but you can be damn sure if it was Israeli troops firing, the IDFs name would be plastered all over the article.

  2. The UN continues to fail it’s humanitarian obligations in the Gaza strip. From not bringing enough aid despite Israel indicating it can let through magnitudes more trucks a day, to drivers who are too lazy to enter, to now not find solutions to deliver the aid because of Hamas itself which they support at every opportunity they get.

  3. “deliveries paused because hamas opening fire on their own citizens” -there a better title.

  4. UN wants to make sure the the reality matches their accusations

  5. Hopefully they can determine who is attacking the food trucks and bring them to justice 🙏

  6. Wait so who shot at the trucks? The article only indicate hungry mobs attacked the truck. Who shot and raided aid trucks?

  7. You can tell it was Hamas who attacked the trucks since the title did not say it was the IDF.

  8. Just airdrop the food. That way it gets scattered making it harder for Hamas to steal.

  9. > “hungry crowds tried to attack the trucks, which then faced gunfire as they entered the city”

Idk about you, but to me that clearly looks like far more trucks are needed.

  10. When the Gazans get hungry enough, perhaps they will lynch the Hamas terrorists who brought all of this suffering on their people. Gazans have been suffering since 2006 BECAUSE Hamas calls for destruction of all of Israel and the murder of all Jews everywhere in the world.

  11. Wonder who would do that. Oh, wait no I don’t.

  12. So we’re just not going to point out it’s Hamas firing on Palestinians desperately in need of aid? Pretty weak, Reuters.

  13. Well we all know who did this. The UN is too chicken shit to call them out.

  14. Reeeeeeeeaaaally bending over backwards to not name & shame Hamas there Reuters.

  15. Withholding aid from innocent civilians? How could the UN do this? (<- if anyone was held to the same standards as Israel)

  16. Well that and 12 Palestinian UN aid workers participated in the Oct.7 massacres so they’re not proving a real ally to UN efforts.

  17. But Reddit told me Hamas are the good guys and it was Israel who wasn’t providing aid…

Guess everyone claiming Israel was lying about Hamas misusing and withholding aid from the Palestinian people was wrong…..again

  18. > The next day, WFP trucks were looted between Khan Younis in the south and Deir al Balah in central Gaza, and a driver was beaten, it said.

Who the hell beats the person literally delivering you aid?

  19. They probably don’t want to send their trucks on one-way trips

  20. So when Hamas attacks aid trucks it’s just left ambiguous, but if Israel did it on accident it would be the only story in the news cycle. Got it.

  21. At what point is a nuclear Holocaust merciful..? Innocents are suffering and it seems like death is the only way out.

  22. The looting and lawlessness is in israel’s favor, to keep a power vacuum where they’ve destroyed everything and left people desperate, that way they can keep it so unstable that even the UN can’t do anything.

Then Palestinians starve, because there’s no administration for the aid.

You can’t just drive trucks up and dump sacks on the ground. You get this.

But Israel won’t allow any authority that could sustain orderly delivery of aid. Because they want it this way.

    >Israel’s military ordered two neighborhoods of Gaza City to evacuate on Tuesday amid signs of hunger and mounting desperation in the northern part of the enclave at a time when the focus of Israel’s offensive has shifted south.
[The evacuations came as the World Food Program halted deliveries in the north on Tuesday, describing scenes of chaos as its teams faced looting, hungry crowds and gunfire](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/20/world/middleeast/israel-gaza-city-un-food.html) in recent days.

  23. Yeah.

Tell Israel to stop attacking un aid convoys.

The article never says it directly, but we know this isn’t hamas thats attacking them.

  24. Nice job by Reuters not naming the perpetrators in the headlines, to make it seem like it was the IDF
