  1. Announcing this mid-season surely means we have someone lined up, right? right? :’)

  2. Shallowest squad I’ve ever seen Bayern have and not one DM despite him begging for one. It was quite unfortunate how it all played out. Had high hopes he would succeed.

Not sure how the rest of the season will play out given he is a *lame duck*.

Shame this squad managed to kill yet another manager.

  3. After intensive discussions over the past few days, Bayern decided to end the collaboration with Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season. After many problems – on and off the pitch – it was clear to the people in charge that things couldn’t continue this way. However, the club want to finish the season with Tuchel. The players are to be held responsible and should not be given an excuse again with an immediate change of coach. The decision could be communicated soon by the club in order to make a clear statement [@altobelli13] via [@imiasanmia](https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1760232070071066665?t=Pzj3TvpqyS2Au5rCKbKwng&s=19)

  4. Mixed feelings ngl. But I guess it didn’t work out. Would’ve loved to see him with a decent squad

  5. Let’s wait for official confirmation first, but if true, this wouldn’t come as a surprise at this point. These past few games were very underwhelming to say the least, but I also thought Tuchel can’t possibly be happy with his time at the club.

I think we also have to acknowledge that the club is in a very tricky spot at the moment, and I honestly don’t think the manager job is as lucrative as it may have once been. It’s late February and at the moment, Bayern has no manager and they’re still courting Max Eberl for the vacant Sportvorstand position (no idea what the equivalent in English is, sorry). Not an ideal situation for an *Umbruch* if you ask me.

  6. I will hold my breath until this is confirmed officially.

    >*The players are to be held responsible and should not be given an excuse again with an immediate change of coach.*

This is the part I like most. The discussion about Tuchel has been going on long enough and most of the clubs supporters are on the same page I would say. So from my point of view, the discussions that must be held from now are about the squad. Who performs, who has the spirit and who has to leave.

  7. Tbh, he was at the club at the wrong time, even the way he was appointed didn’t help him, because JN was still not hated much by the fans, i believe even the players wanted JN to stay. He couldn’t create a bond between the players and staff, and that what cost him the most at the end.

  8. Thank god my boy TT is free and can back to serious clubs that don’t scapegoat him for all the internal issues caused by Board fuckups. Love Bayern, but what happened to him with all the Media smearing and internal issues caused by previous fuckups, then refusing to sign players that would help him get it under control really was unserious behavior.

  9. Kinda what I expected since it’s probably too late to save any competition with a mid-season change. Now I want to know who they are going for.

  10. I guess the board had to fire Tuchel and announce it right away because several players wanted to leave if Thomas stays. Especially Kimmich comes to mind.

  11. Alright, hopefully the squad will also be held accountable in the summer.

  12. It’s surely for the best to have a clean start. I think he made some mistakes and I expected a bit more from him in terms of developing a play style, being more consequential with problem players. but I still feel bad for him. I already said after the summer window that the board fucked up and he will be the only one who will be taking the blame and consequences in the end, and it’s exactly come like that. He was basically set up to fail. Could he have done a bit better anyway? Possibly. But there was no way he was going to meet the unreasonable expectations with this squad. The media also played their part with their agenda.

  13. Sad that it didn’t work out here with him 🙁

But he’s a great manager still. No coach wins UCL easily.

  14. Good. Wish he was gone now, but at least he’s gone. He’s been a failure on every level, and dragged the club down with him. Ending our league winning streak in this manner is unacceptable. Going out with a whimper. Hopefully I can see us go on another streak of 10+ in my lifetime.

  15. But is he actually going to last until the end of the season?

  16. Bayern should really give the transformation more time and trust, instead they always switch to panic mode when a triple isn’t achievable mid season. I miss nagelsmann and would have been totally fine with 1-2 not soo good seasons just to see a humble squad with attractive football I can identify with after neuer and Müller are gone.

Right now we are on a path to become a similar European generic top club, I don’t care for titles, I just want my Bayern back.
