  1. Always great to see a group of people create a problem to rally against just to end up having real and irreversible consequences.

  2. Meanwhile the superintendent is busy posting videos about how Oklahoma schools won’t stand for “radical leftist woke ideology”. He posted the video after this student died.

  3. It won’t phase any of them.

They’ll just deflect and blame the poor kid, their parents, blah blah, anyone but themselves.

  4. They don’t care. Just another necessary sacrifice for their Christian Theocracy. Best believe they’re ready to take it nationwide too.

  5. I think this is the goal isn’t it? Everything else they do is indicative of their homicidal impulse regarding trans people.

  6. The cruelty is the point. Totally on brand for anyone who identifies as conservative.

  7. Guys like Matt Walsh basically add a notch to their belt every time something like this happens. It’s the point of their rhetoric.

Do they actively want kids to die? I doubt it. Evil does not work like that. But they do want anyone thinking of transitioning to consider that the consequence is possibly murder.

  8. im sure right wing media will find a way to blame the parents and the “radical leftists” for failing this child

  9. I pray their soul finds peace and we put an end to this pointless harassment

  10. This is what the transphobes want. Dead trans kids. A fucking tragedy.

  11. Conservatives love to talk about responsibility and the love of Christ.

    Then this.

  12. 🤔 Not sure that there is a true 1:1 cause/effect between these two events such as the Title to this post would like to imply.

  13. This article is far less informative than The Independent article. It also does a poor job at linking the bathroom bill to the death.

As far as I can tell, from this article and the Independent article, the preferred bathroom of the deceased hasn’t been made known. If the deceased still used the girl’s room by choice, then the bill is a moot point.

The attempt at linking the two without actually having that key piece of information reads like propaganda. When I read the headline, I assumed transgirl attacked in the boys’ room, not non-binary/gender-fluid attacked in the girl’s room.

The assailants need to be criminally charged with manslaughter and the school administrators terminated at minimum, and if state law allows, criminally charged for their negligence in stopping the ongoing bullying that escalated to what appears to be a homicide.

  14. This death is a feature to these monsters, not a bug.

  15. Blood is on their hands. It’s as simple as that.

  16. shaming them with this wont work, dead trans kids is a feature not a bug. its worse than not caring, this is literally what they want

  17. At this point it seems like they get off on dead kids. They don’t care about “protecting children”. They just want to exploit, molest and kill our kids. Tell me I’m wrong.

  18. Hate is humanity’s greatest sickness. I weep for this child and their family, there is no excuse for this.

  19. Any parents with trans kids should think about leaving the state

  20. It’s not just the bathroom bill. It’s the state superintendent spending nearly every walking moment demonizing gay and trans kids. He gave kids permission to assault ‘different’ kids.

  21. This community isn’t fit to teach their own children. The Department of Education should send in teachers and faculty who are actually responsible enough to help children.

  22. I don’t understand, what about gay men going to the bathroom? Or using gym locker rooms? Or what about lesbians using the women’s room? Is that not exactly the same issue?

  23. It’s time for the dismantling of the Republican party.

  24. …*how did we get here*!?!?

You don’t get to kill people, *just because you want to*.

    This timeline is **fuuuucked**….

  25. Nex Benedict deserved better than this. I hope the kids that did this get the book thrown at them.

  26. The party of protecting women and children, everyone. I wish everyone cheering this a very merry chronic diarrhea for the rest of their rotten lives

  27. The move to Gilead happened a lot faster than I thought.

  28. Tragic. Heartbreaking.

But seriously? If the leaders of our government attack trans kids, then we can’t be surprised when they unleash the worst instincts among the kids. Kids follow the example of our leaders.

The GOP is directly responsible for this death. Bastards all.

Friends don’t let friends vote Red.

  29. Sad story. But the headline is a little misleading. It leads the reader to think that the cause of the death is directly related to the bill. This was bullying and poor actions by the school administrators. That kid should still be alive, even with the bathroom ban.

  30. That can’t throw around the (N) word anymore or treat the brown like second-class citizens. So they’ve gone onto new people to openly hate and attack. They will always find someone to hate. Because that’s what they stand for. Hate is what they want. If you’re even remotely different than what they deem as acceptable, the republicans will hate you for it. They don’t want to know about anyone from other countries or foreign people.

  31. These anti trans politicians are immoral. They don’t give a crap about children or keeping them safe. They just breed hate and violence. Disgusting.

  32. So, a gender non-confirming girl was assaulted by three older girls in a bathroom and died a few hours later.

I don’t see what this has to do with bathroom bills.

    Lock them up.

  33. Somewhere, somebody read this and said to themselves “Well the kid shouldn’t been there. “

  34. Christofacist backwater mother fuckers I swear to God America breeds idiots.

  35. It looks like an equal number of people in this thread get and don’t get it. This is their goal. The only reason they have to do anything other than celebrate this is that not *enough* of the target demographic died. If they had their way, they’d legislate this lot straight into the the furnace.

  36. Deaths in Ukraine due to nonfunding belong to Republicans. Deaths due to vaccine misinformation and downplaying Covid belong to Republicans. Gun Deaths in the US belong to Republicans.

  37. This is what anti gay and trans people want.

Hell, I remember as a kid people talking about putting all gay people on an island somewhere away from them.
